DeBerry-Homer Elementary School is a new, three-story, 155,000 square foot building with a capacity of 800 elementary students and 120 pre-K students. This building will replace two of the oldest school buildings in Springfield, MA. Each school, The DeBerry school and The Homer Street school, will maintain a separate identity for their classroom space, but will share a cafeteria, gym, and library.
The groundbreaking took place in September of 2021 and is expected to be completed for the 2023 fall school year.
Chandler was contracted to supply and install exterior porcelain wall panels, phenolic wall panels, single skin wall panels/mechanical screen, ACM panels, and aluminum column covers.
